Terms of Service

For Journal Vault

Last updated: March 18, 2026 | Version 1.0

1) Agreement

By installing or using Journal Vault (“the App”), you agree to these Terms.

2) License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App for your own purposes, subject to these Terms and applicable laws.

3) Your content

You own your journal content. We do not claim ownership of your entries.

You are responsible for:

  • your device security,
  • backups you choose to make,
  • and keeping your encryption password/key safe.

4) Paid feature: lifetime automatic online backup unlock

The App may offer a one-time lifetime purchase that unlocks automatic online backups to cloud providers you choose (e.g., Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox). Purchases are processed by the platform store, and refunds are governed by the store’s policies.

We may change which providers are supported and how integrations work over time (for example due to provider API changes).

5) Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the App for unlawful purposes,
  • attempt to reverse engineer, bypass security, or interfere with the App,
  • or misuse the App in a way that harms others or violates laws.

6) Availability and changes

We may update the App to improve it, fix bugs, or comply with platform requirements. Some features may change or be discontinued.

7) Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that:

  • the App will be error-free,
  • backups will never fail,
  • or data loss will never occur.

8) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Next Level Dev AB will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the App.

If liability cannot be excluded, our total liability will be limited to the amount you paid for the App’s paid feature (if any), or the minimum allowed by law.

9) Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. You are responsible for exporting/backing up your data if you wish to keep it.

10) Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, unless consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
